While I manage the day to day operations in our SupportiveLiving.ca homes, I have a great working relationship with our specialty pharmacy, MediRx. Samantha and Andrea stay on top of each and every resident when it comes to their medications. The residents feel at ease when speaking to both of them and when there are any changes to their medications there is never a delay in delivery, even if its 24 hours notice!

Many residents may be resistant to take some of their medications for various reasons which can even come down to size or colour. Samantha and her team address the problem by finding a replacement or another medication – but not before speaking to the resident and understanding their medical history. Whenever concerns arise over medications, MediRx collaborate with a resident’s doctor, hospitals, nurse practitioners and even support workers to assist in these manners on a daily basis. They intimately know each of our resident’s medication profiles and work in a timely manner to satisfy their needs. My top priority is the wellbeing of my resident and this is the same goal for MediRx as well.

I have been living at SupportiveLiving for over 5 years and feel safe when it comes to my housing as well as my health. I can call Andrea at any time if I have a problem with my medication or I have a health issue. She calls my doctor right away and the next thing I know, the medication is being sent to the home for me to start right away. They are a great pharmacy to deal with and I know Andrea actually cares about us and our health!
