Our team ensures prompt delivery services which can be tracked throughout the delivery process. A delivery day will be preset for your home based on a schedule that suits your needs. Medications that must be started immediately (ex. antibiotics, discharge medications) are sent out the day a prescription is received, even if it is not your predetermined delivery day so as to ensure optimal patient care.
MediRx provides a variety of packaging options for medication, including multi-dose and unit-dose; whichever suits your operation’s needs. Compliance packaging allows prescriptions to be monitored by the patients and staff in a simplified fashion to satisfy patient safety concerns as well as increasing staff efficiency.
MediRx’s MedsCheck program ensures that patients understand the medication they are taking and provides feedback to medical practitioners and home staff through a personal pharmacist-patient session. MedsChecks are performed quarterly or annually, depending on the patient and the circumstances. All MedsChecks are performed at the patient’s home for the convenience of the patient and the home staff.
The minor ailments program allows MediRx pharmacists to assess patients, in person and remotely, and provide prescriptions for an ever growing list of minor ailments approved by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Assessments and prescriptions can be provided throughout the year which promotes optimal patient care and ensures all residents are cared for in a timely manner.

MediRx provides mobility aids to assist patients who are physically disabled or injured. Aids include wheelchairs, crutches, canes and walkers.

MediRx's diabetes management team works to manage patient insulin, glucometers, and additional supplies. No matter what type of diabetes, MediRx patients will be taken care of by our diabetes management program.
Aside from regularly scheduled drugs, many patients in care home settings are prescribed long-lasting injections. These injections can oftentimes be difficult to manage by the home staff as they are administered at alternate point of care settings (ie. mental health agencies, injections clinics). MediRx’s staff will organize and dispense injections on a prescribed schedule and deliver them directly to the source of injection if required. This ensures every patient gets their injection(s) without complication and on time.
To assist our patients with issues surrounding bladder/bowel control, MediRx keeps a system in place to manage all necessary products. These products can include, but are not limited to, disposable briefs, liners, wash/protective cream, and washcloths. A wide range of products are available to ensure patients receive exactly what they require for their specific needs. Products are easy to order, billed on a monthly basis and automatically shipped directly to the patient ensuring products are received in a timely manner.
